This is soft film, solvent deposited, water-displacing type, temporary corrosion preventive oil. The oil gives a greasy type of film (4-5 micron), which can withstand moderate handling. It gives excellent protection for the components to be stored in-house. This can be applied directly by dipping the wet metal components, machine tools into the rust preventive oil. This oil displaces the water from the metal surface and leaves a greasy film. The oil can also be applied by spraying method. The film can be easily removed by wiping the surface, detergent solutions, hot or cold solvents or by stripping.
